Why we built it
Knowing the answer isn’t the same as saying it on camera
More and more interviews happen over video — live calls, and recorded “one-way” rounds where you answer a screen with no one on the other side. Plenty of capable people know exactly what they want to say, and still freeze.
Pilots train in simulators. Speakers rehearse out loud. We wanted the same for interviews: a realistic rehearsal you can run as many times as you like — free, private, and there at 2 a.m. the night before.

On a video call there is no small talk to warm up with. The question lands, the clock starts, and everyone is waiting for you.

Watching yourself talk
A little window with your own face is distracting — until you have answered in front of it enough times that you stop noticing.

No one to practise with
Friends get busy, coaching costs money, and reading answers silently does not train your voice. Saying it out loud does.
Rehearsal fixes all three. So we built a place to rehearse.

Free and private
The core practice loop needs no payment and no upload — just a free account.
Honesty over hype
The interviewer is AI-generated and labelled as such — never presented as a real person. Practice scores only count what can be measured, and we will never claim to predict hiring outcomes.
Judge the answer, not the person
Prepare Interviews never analyses your face, appearance or accent, and never infers competence, honesty or employability from them.
You stay in control
Recordings are saved only when you choose, and you can delete any of them — or everything — at any time.
How it’s built
Your practice never leaves your device
Prepare Interviews is a static website. The practice room runs in your browser: the interviewer’s video plays on your device, her voice is recorded in advance (questions she hasn’t recorded are voiced by our voice renderer — only the questions are sent), and a small speech-detection model listens — on your device — for when you’ve finished answering. Your answers and recordings never leave it.
Two exceptions to know about: questions she hasn’t recorded are sent (only the questions) to be voiced; and if you ask AI to write questions from a job description, that description is sent to write them (not stored). Read the privacy policyfor the details.
