Terms of use

The service

Prepare Interviews is a free practice tool. A virtual, AI-generated interviewer (not a real person) reads out questions you choose, and you can record and review your own answers in your browser. By using the website, you agree to these terms.

Your account

Starting interviews needs a free account, one per person. Use your own email address or Google account, keep access to it private, and don’t create accounts for others or automatically. We may suspend accounts used to abuse the service. You can delete your account at any time from Manage data and storage in the practice room; how we handle account details is set out in the privacy policy.

Practice scores, not assessments — and no guarantee

The optional practice score measures things that can be counted in an automatic transcript of your answers — job-description keywords, structure cues, length, pace and filler words. It is practice feedback, not an assessment of your ability or suitability for any job, and transcripts can contain mistakes. Prepare Interviews does not provide professional career, legal or psychological advice, and cannot guarantee any interview outcome or job offer. Guides and sample questions are general information and may not reflect what a particular employer asks or expects.

Your content

Questions, notes and recordings you create remain yours. They are stored on your device, and you are responsible for keeping copies of anything you want to keep. Do not add content you do not have the right to use, and do not record other people without their permission.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use the website to break any law or to harass, impersonate or deceive anyone.
  • Do not try to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the website or its hosting.
  • Do not present the virtual interviewer, or recordings made with it, as a real person or a real employer’s interview.

Availability

The website is provided “as is” and may change, be unavailable, or behave differently on different devices and browsers — especially camera, microphone, speech and recording features, which depend on your device.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Prepare Interviews is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the website, including loss of data stored in your browser.

Third-party content and licences

The website uses open-source software and fonts under their own licences (such as MIT, ISC and the SIL Open Font License). Their licence notices are distributed with the website’s files.
