Your question sets live in your browser. To back them up, move them to another device, or share a set with a friend, export them as a JSON file and import that file elsewhere.

Exporting

  • One set: open the set in the practice room and choose Export.
  • Everything: go to Manage data and storage and choose Export all question sets.

Exported files contain only your question sets and private answer notes — never recordings or session reviews.

Importing

On the practice room home screen, choose Import, then pick a .json file or paste its contents. You will see a preview of every question, where you can fix the wording, change categories or remove questions before anything is saved.

If you just have a list of questions in a document, you do not need JSON: open a set, choose Paste questions, and paste one question per line.

The format

{

version No Currently 1.
sets Yes A list of question sets.
sets[].name No Set name, up to 120 characters.
sets[].description No Short description, up to 300 characters.

Simpler files are accepted too

A plain list of questions works:

["Tell me about yourself.", "Why do you want this role?", "What are your strengths?"]

So does a single set:

{ "name": "Quick set", "questions": [{ "text": "Why should we hire you?", "category": "hr" }] }

Limits and large question banks

There is no limit on the number of questions in a set. Files up to 5 MB can be imported — that is tens of thousands of questions. Very large sets are shown in pages in the editor so the app stays responsive. In practice, interview sessions work best with 3 to 10 questions; choose a subset on the setup screen.

Privacy

Import and export happen entirely in your browser. Files are not uploaded anywhere. Anyone you share an exported file with will see your private notes, so remove them first if needed.
